WebRTC Developer (m/f/d)
Bring people together live - with your code.
We are developing a modern, cloud-native SaaS platform for digital events. Via our event platform, participants experience interactive streams, showrooms, video chats, group rooms and breakout sessions - directly in their browser. We are looking for you to join our dedicated WebRTC team: a developer with experience in real-time video communication and enthusiasm for technical depth.
What you can expect
You will play a key role in developing and shaping the WebRTC architecture of our platform - from signaling and media processing to user experience.
You work with modern web technologies such as Socket.io, Mediasoup, TURN servers, Kubernetes and browser APIs.
You take care of the current system (maintenance, optimization) as well as the planned realignment in the backend and the integration into the frontend.
You create group rooms with a high-quality broadcasting layout, screen sharing and recording - no run-of-the-mill video conferencing.
You work closely with other teams (frontend, backend, UX) on a shared vision.
What you bring with you
Sound experience with WebRTC and related technologies (Peer Connections, Signaling, ICE, STUN/TURN, Media Streams)
Experience in web development with Typescript, ideally in the environment of Vue.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend)
Knowledge of working with media servers such as Mediasoup or experience with CPaaS providers (e.g. Twilio, Daily, LiveKit) is a big plus
You have already implemented WebRTC applications that do more than simple 1:1 calls
You understand the challenges of video quality, NAT traversal, browser compatibility and session management
You work in a structured, team-oriented manner and like to think along with others - especially when making architectural decisions
Good knowledge of German (at least B2) and solid knowledge of English
At Techcast we offer you
A high degree of technical design freedom in a dedicated WebRTC team
Collaboration on a platform that engages users - live, interactive and in the browser
Modern tools & workflows - Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud-native setup
An interdisciplinary, experienced development team that is open to new technologies
Remote work or space in our Munich office with two sunny roof terraces
Continuous training through online courses, participation in conferences and internal workshops
Regular events (barbecue on the roof terrace, Christmas party, excursions)
Flexible working hours and a collegial atmosphere
