DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) – Kubernetes & Cloud

As a DevOps Engineer, you will assume technical responsibility for our platform infrastructure.

You will work closely with development and product owners, actively contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the long-term development of our infrastructure.

You will start as a DevOps Engineer with clear prospects for further development in the role and the potential to build or lead a team in the future.

Our current infrastructure

  • Self-hosted Kubernetes clusters
  • GitOps with FluxCD & GitLab
  • Helmet Charts
  • Monitoring & logging with Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB/FerretDB
  • Message broker: RabbitMQ
  • Legacy: Drupal/PHP (Academy) on bare metal, managed with Ansible
  • New products: Event Cloud (Nest.js / Vue.js) in Kubernetes

Your responsibilities

  • Operation, further development, and stabilization of our Kubernetes-based platform
  • Evaluation and optimization of existing infrastructure, IaC, and deployment concepts
  • Derivation of sustainable solutions taking into account product requirements and operating costs
  • Responsibility for deployment, CI/CD, and GitOps processes
  • Monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering
  • Active involvement in architectural and technological decisions
  • Close cooperation with Development & Product Management
  • Support for the modernization of legacy systems
  • Perspective: Enabling developers and building further DevOps expertise within the team

What you bring to the table:

  • Several years of experience in the DevOps/platform environment
  • Very good knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
  • GitOps experience (e.g., FluxCD) or comparable concepts
  • Understanding of highly available, scalable systems
  • Experience with Managed Kubernetes or hyperscalers (e.g., Scaleway, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
  • Ansible skills
  • Understanding of PHP/Drupal-based applications
  • Very good knowledge of German (at least B2)
