About the DGVS and the DGVS Online Academy

The German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) is a scientific association dedicated to research into the digestive organs. It has more than 6,000 members. The DGVS promotes scientific projects and studies and supports young scientists. In addition, the DGVS organizes conferences and training courses.

An increasingly important component of DGVS congresses and training courses is continuing education via digital media. With the DGVS Online Academy, the society is pursuing a sustainable strategy with a modular approach.

The approach

Techcast has designed a digital platform for the DGVS that reflects the look and feel of the society. Selected scientific sessions and individual satellite symposia are available free of charge to medical professionals after a quick registration process. Thanks to its responsive design, the platform can also be used on mobile devices. This platform allows valuable content from the DGVS annual conferences to be structured and reused. Content can be filtered by topic and speaker.

The DGVS uses Techcast's full service: Since 2016, Techcast has been recording the contents of the congress media library annually at the DGVS annual conference.
