About the DGVS and the DGVS Online Academy
The German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) is a scientific society for research into the digestive organs. It unites more than 6,000 members. The DGVS promotes scientific projects and studies and supports young scientists. In addition, the DGVS organizes congresses and training courses.
An increasingly important component of DGVS congresses and training courses is continuing education via digital media. With the DGVS Online Academy, the society is pursuing a sustainable strategy with a modular approach.

Approach
Techcast has designed a digital platform for the DGVS with the look and feel of the society. Selected scientific sessions and individual satellite symposia can be accessed free of charge by medical professionals after a short registration process. Thanks to its responsive design, the website can also be used on mobile devices. This platform allows valuable content from DGVS annual conferences to be structured and reused. It can be filtered by topic and speaker.
The DGVS uses the full service of Techcast: The content of the congress media library has been recorded by Techcast at the DGVS annual conference every year since 2016.
